HEAPS OF GRATITUDE FOR THE LAGUNA COMMUNITY
The annual Golden Oak Gala was a resounding success, thanks to the incredible support of the Laguna community. This year's event at the Rosewood Miramar Beach saw a record turnout, and I deeply appreciate everyone who contributed.
I want to acknowledge our Event Co-Chairs Jen Drucker and Melissa Henderson, our hardworking Development team, and the generous volunteers who ensured the Gala was a spectacular evening for our school. A heartfelt round of applause for their boundless enthusiasm, talents, and teamwork!
A very special thank you to our event sponsors, attendees, and generous donors—your outpouring of support fills us with deep gratitude and ensures that Laguna Blanca and our students continue to grow and thrive.
We're excited to share updates on the final fundraising numbers and project timelines for the paddle raise initiatives after spring break. In the meantime, we invite you to relive the Gala's highlights through the photos below.

LOWER SCHOOL WELCOMES SPRING WITH PERSIAN NEW YEAR FESTIVITIES
During Tecolote Tuesday, Lower School students gathered to learn about the Persian New Year, Nowruz. The word meaning "New Day," is a 3,000-year old spring festival, representing 13 days of renewal, happiness, and prosperity. Special thanks to first graders Sahar and Kasra for embracing the spirit of renewal and sharing their cultural traditions that mark the arrival of spring. The celebration continued in the First grade classroom where the Nasseri family read a book about Haft Sin, a tradition involving setting up an altar at home. Students also received Nowruz coloring books. Happy Nowruz!
