This Sunday’s special collection is for the Lower Sioux Indian Community as a Mni Sota Makoce Honor Tax. This voluntary tax payment is for WBUUC’s use of land which previously belonged to the Dakota peoples. WBUUC’s Land Acknowledgement Statement (2024) calls on our congregation to make meaningful amends to the Dakota community. Funds will be used for land acquisition, support for youth and tribal citizens, for housing, public education, and community outreach.
In addition to the collection basket on Sunday, you can donate in three other ways:
• Online: http://bit.ly/give-to-wbuuc - indicate HONOR
• Send a check to WBUUC with HONOR on the memo line.
• Text to Give by text to 651-615-5551 the “amount HONOR" (ex, to give $20, text: 20 HONOR)

What does it really mean to serve on the Board, the Nominations and Leadership Development (NLD) Committee, or in other leadership roles at WBUUC? Join us for an informal Panel Q&A to find out. Current leaders from the NLD and Board will share what the work involves and how it grows their souls and serves our community. Everyone is welcome, whether you're considering becoming involved in committee leadership or just curious to know more.
Please note: the NLD Committee will guide the conversation by answering frequently asked questions about what it means to serve in these roles. Questions will focus on the experience of being a leader at WBUUC, not on the current work of the Board or committees. Each session will last approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

| | Pastoral Care Requests, Meeting with Ministers and Building Hours | | |
If you have a pastoral care update or a request for tangible support, please email Rev. Jack directly (revjack@wbuuc.org) or fill out this form: https://bit.ly/wbuucpc
We would be honored to name your joy or sorrow or life event during our Sunday morning meditation so that our community can know about your concern and hold it with you. As the Swedish proverb goes, “Shared joy is double joy; shared sorrow is half sorrow.”
Meeting with Ministers
Rev. Jessica and Rev. Jack invite you to contact them directly with questions or to make an appointment for an in-person or Zoom meeting. We concentrate most of our appointments Tuesday - Thursday, but we can also make other times available as needed.
Building Hours
The church building and office are open between the hours of 10am-4pm on Tuesday-Thursday. If you need to get into the building on a Monday or Friday, please contact the office to schedule that appointment.
