Good afternoon Kristin,
Happy Catholic Schools Week! This year’s theme—United in Faith and Community—reminds us that what shapes our connection to each other is not only our academic preparation, but a profound commitment to faith and community. We are not merely institutions of learning; we provide environments where faith is nurtured, excellence is pursued, inclusivity is celebrated, and community is fostered.
This weekend, Archbishop Etienne will promulgate the parish families as they will come to be this summer. This will mark a milestone in Partners in the Gospel and moves us into the next phase of this strategic pastoral plan. While uncertainty remains, I believe this theme for Catholic Schools Week grounds this work by reminding us of our shared mission. It reminds us, not necessarily of the what or the why, but of the how.
Please join us for a special, 1-hour presentation on Thursday, with Cary Gabney, for a reflection and considerations as we begin Black History Month.
With gratitude,
NICHOLAS FORD | Superintendent
Office for Catholic Schools | Archdiocese of Seattle
