September is Suicide Prevention Month

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. We encourage the community to join Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital and Stilly Valley Health Connections on Tuesday, September 22nd, from 3 pm to 7 pm. We are bringing together local organizations that focus on mental health to share resources, provide guest speakers, and offer attendees the chance to connect while participating in crafts, and enjoy a snack or dinner. The event will be held at Stilly Valley Health Connections.

You may not always know what someone is experiencing.

Learn how to recognize the warning signs when someone’s at risk—and what action steps you can take. Learn how to talk about mental health to help you speak to a loved one who you may think is experiencing any mental health concerns.

#SuicidePrevention starts with connection.
