D iversity & Inclusion Roadmap: ILPA recently provided a Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Roadmap for the private equity industry. The Roadmap is comprised of best practices that both general and limited partners can consider implementing to advance D&I efforts on behalf of their organizations and the PE industry at large. Where there's a D&I roadmap, there's a D&I central hub - TIDE, the central hub for D&I within the investment industry, was recognized by New York State Common Retirement Fund as Partner in their Emerging Manager and MWBE initiatives. It is through our partnerships with the largest institutional investors in the world that we are able to affect change.

And we are not alone in these efforts... 100 Women In Finance (100WF) , a partner of TIDE , held their London Gala in the Banqueting House on February 12th. The beneficiary of 100WF’s UK philanthropic initiatives this year is Founders4Schools and specifically the Maths4Girls program. Maths4Girls’ aim is to encourage girls to consider careers in the finance industry by making them aware of the varied opportunities and encouraging them to take math to A’level and beyond so that these opportunities are options. Kim Au, TIDE's Marketing Extraordinaire, represented and volunteered at the gala .

And the spotlight helps! Thanks to LinkedIN Financial Editor, Devin Banerjee, for shining a light on the work TIDE is doing. He interviewed Grace live on LinkedIN during the Cayman Alternative Investment Summit.

The winning streak continues: TIDE would like to extend our congratulations to Hudson Cove Capital Management for their wins at the Alt Credit Fund Intelligence US Awards 2020. Hudson Cove won in the "Credit Opportunities" category and were also highly commended in both "Distressed Credit / Special Situations" and "Multi-Strategy Credit Fund" categories. The Alt Credit Fund Intelligence US Awards 2020 is the only award that recognize service providers, credit hedge funds, CLO and private debt funds who are outperforming their competitors and leading the way in the US. On February 12, the awards honored the best performing and recently launched credit and debt funds at the iconic Metropolitan Club.

Also winning... Shout out to Priscilla J. Guevara and the Science team on the success of their portfolio company, Liquid Death Mountain Water. The company announced its latest $9M series A funding .

Let's dance salsa... With shrinking opportunities for robust returns in the larger developed markets and growing geopolitical turmoil on the horizon, more investors are turning to Latin America. This article by Charina Amunategui , an executive director at MUFG explains why t his development is occurring and how you can capitalize on the Latin American markets in 2020 and beyond.

And we'll end this section on this note... In addition to meeting international LP's and GP's, the TIDE crew got a chance to see Usher live during SuperReturns Berlin.
