August 2024

Thank You,

Peninsula Community Foundation

Senior Community Connections is honored and grateful to be generously supported by the Peninsula Community Foundation. The PCF grant funding will be allocated to serving our seniors and their increased use of our practical services, such as critical transportation needs. Funding will also be utilized to support raising community awareness. In addition, SCC will offer meaningful and intentional programming for our population, such as small group opportunities led by a specialized therapist serving seniors surrounding important and relevant topics.

A resounding and heartfelt THANK YOU to the PCF community for your ongoing support and commitment to SCC’s mission to enrich the lives of older adults, empowering them to thrive in home and community by providing a network of trusted resources, caring support and social connectedness.

SCC Midyear Impact Report

Senior Community Connections has tremendously increased services for members year over year. Transportation requests have increased 66%, home visits 81%, and specific home requests have increased 170%, compared to last year's Midyear report.

We are so grateful to our supporters, donors, and volunteers who make our increasing work possible every day!

SCC Traditions

Senior Community Connections enjoys offering members opportunities to get together to connect and have fun together. programming and social gatherings help combat loneliness and isolation, allow for old friendships to depend and new friendships to develop. That's why it's so special to not only have new event offerings, but keep some as a running tradition.

Outings such as our First Friday Breakfasts offer a "same time, same place" holder on social calendars. Everyone knows they are welcome to come join friends for a meal or a cup of coffee and catch up. We are grateful we can spend time together every month, and there's always a seat saved for you.
