Message from Mrs. Barnhouse

Faith Families:

This weekend, Faith’s K-5 educators have the opportunity to gather with over 600 Lutheran educators from the region for a weekend of learning, fellowship, and growth! We will attend the Greater Plains Lutheran Educator Conference Saturday - Monday. It will be an opportunity to connect with educators around the region, learn about best practices in education and ministry, worship together, and bring new ideas back to share with students and families, impacting growth and learning! We are blessed to have this time together and look forward to sharing more with you in the coming days and weeks.

We pray you enjoy your fall break, with no school on Monday or Tuesday. May God bless your break!

Chapel Offerings

Each year, the fifth grade class gets to research and vote on where we donate our chapel offerings. This year, Faith and Touching Hearts chapel offerings are going to the Orphan Grain Train - Mercy Meals.

Mercy Meals of Nebraska is a non-profit organization that allows volunteers to package nourishing food that will be delivered by the Orphan Grain Train to food banks, disaster areas and children in need throughout the world.

The Mission of Mercy Meals is to help fight world hunger and help to reverse the effects of malnutrition globally.

See the school bulletin board for updates on how much has been donated!

Let’s Pack 200 Shoeboxes!

October is Operation Christmas Child Collection Month! Our goal is BIG—we want to collect enough items to pack 200 shoeboxes! You can drop off items at the collection table in the school office area throughout the month.

There are lots of ways your family can help:

• Shop and donate items from the suggested list
• Donate a gift card so we can purchase needed items
• Use a Thrivent Action Team and donate the funds toward shoebox gifts
• Shop our Amazon Wishlist and have items shipped directly to school
• Pray for the kids who will be receiving shoebox gifts from Faith Lutheran

Every item makes a difference, and every box tells a child, “Jesus Loves You!”
