🤣 Meme of the Week! 🤣

Quick Read from Rob:

Why buyers decide in the first few seconds

I once pulled up to a showing with a buyer who, before we even parked, said quietly, "Oh, I don't know about this one." Nothing was wrong with the house. The lawn was just a little shaggy and a shutter hung slightly crooked. By the time we walked inside, she'd already made up her mind — and everything she

saw after that, she read as confirmation.

I've seen it too many times to call it a coincidence. Buyers form an impression in seconds, and then spend the rest of the tour looking for reasons they were right.

Here's the pattern:

First impressions aren't a preview of the judgment — they are the judgment.

That first glance at the curb, the front door, the entry, sets an emotional temperature.

Warm, and buyers forgive the flaws they find later.

Cold, and they magnify every one.

The house doesn't get a fair trial. It gets a snap verdict and a search for evidence.

The one lesson is this: the beginning of the tour determines its end.

A buyer who feels good at the door walks through the whole home leaning toward yes. A buyer who feels uneasy is quietly hunting for the exit, no matter how nice the primary suite is.

That's why the cheapest, easiest improvements — a tidy entrance, a clean door, a welcoming first room — return so much. They're not cosmetic. They're setting the mood for every decision that follows.

You never get to redo the first ten seconds. So it's worth making them count.
