EASO colleagues were pleased to contribute to the International Congress on Obesity, held in Mexico City ๐ฒ๐ฝ from 15โ17 July 2026, joining colleagues across the global obesity community for three days of scientific exchange and international collaboration.
EASO President Professor Volkan Demirhan Yumuk co-chaired the EASO partner symposium, โChanging Perspectives: Different Looks into Obesity Diagnosis, Treatment and Targets,โ alongside former World Obesity Federation president Professor Louise Baur. This session brought together Professor Dror Dicker, Dr Andreea Ciudin Mihai and Dr Arya M. Sharma, MD, DSc (hon), FRCPC, FCAHS to examine approaches to obesity diagnosis and management, including the EASO Framework and the importance of setting meaningful, person-centred treatment targets.
