Weekend Treats at the Lodge –

Thanks B&E Eats!

A huge thank-you to B&E Eats for being at the club this past weekend and filling the lodge with the incredible smell of home-cooked meals and fresh baked goods. There is nothing better than coming upstairs after a ski to warm food, great coffee, and that cozy, welcoming lodge atmosphere.

B&E Eats will be back throughout the winter on select weekends, and they are already looking forward to being here Dec 26–28.

When you are bringing out family or friends, make a day of it—ski, snowshoe, relax, and enjoy some amazing food. You won’t be disappointed!

Steve will post the menus on the Grooming Report.

See you at the lodge

We Need Your Help –

Skills Development Coaches Needed

We are reaching out to our membership because we urgently need 2–3 additional volunteer coaches to ensure our Skills Development Program can run successfully this season.

Right now, we are specifically looking for coaches to support:

  • Jackrabbits (ages 8–9)
  • Jackalopes

These are fantastic age groups to work with—energetic, curious, and full of excitement for skiing. Your support directly impacts whether these programs can move forward and whether kids get the positive, fun experience that keeps them loving the sport.

You do not need to be an expert skier—just someone who enjoys being outdoors, working with kids, and being part of a supportive coaching team. Training and support are provided.

If you have any interest at all, or even want to learn more, please reach out to Belinda, our Program Coordinator, and she’ll get you fully set up:

programadmin@caledonianordic.com

Our programs rely on our amazing community, and right now we truly need your help. Thank you for stepping up, spreading the word, and supporting the next generation of skiers at Caledonia Nordic.

Snowmaking Update &

a Huge Thank You

During recent snowmaking and grooming operations, our team discovered a leak in one of the underground water pipes. The flow of water was shut off quickly, but some overflow did reach areas near the dog trails, causing localized icing and pooling.

Thanks to the quick thinking and determination of our Grooming Manager, Peter Hoffman, what could have been a fairly major issue turned into a one-day fix. On a Sunday, Peter coordinated with Betker Mechanical to get the right machines and a welder out to the club. Together, they dug down to locate the leak, patched the pipe, refilled the trench, and had the system back up and running—all in a single day.

A HUGE thank you to Betker Mechanical, who came out on a Sunday with the necessary equipment and expertise to help get us back up and running. Their willingness to jump in on short notice made all the difference.

We are incredibly grateful for the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our trails moving forward—often in conditions and situations most members never see. Thank you all.

Both Memberships & Day Passes Available Online

We are excited to let members know that BOTH annual memberships and day passes can now be purchased online—making it easier than ever to get out on the trails.

Please help us spread the word to friends, family, and visiting skiers that passes can be purchased in advance before arriving at the club. This helps reduce lineups, keeps things running smoothly at the lodge, and gets everyone on snow faster (guilt free!)

As always, thank you for supporting the club and for helping us welcome new users to our trail network. We look forward to seeing you out there this season!
