Meet Amanda Lovell - CAC member Artist of the month
|
|
|
|
"I've been painting and hiding rocks for about 5 years now. I always write on the back of my rocks "spread kindness." That's always been my goal, to quietly slip a piece of happiness into someone's day and hopefully inspire them to do the same." Amanda Lovell

|
Amanda has been the administrator of Wentzville Rocks facebook community since 2017. You will find their rocks all over town and possibly all over the world!!!

If you are a CAC member and would like to be considered an Artist of the Month, please contact Debbie Kindschuh (debbie.kindschuh@gmail.com)

Leon and Mary Tow, and Terri Harrell - members of both WASSI, (Wentzville Area Senior Services, Inc.) and Crossroads Arts Council presented a monetary gift to Crossroads Arts Council. WASSI, having completed all of their goals, made the decision to disband their 501c3, and made a decision to support Crossroads Arts Council in their future work.
WASSI, thank you for your consideration and generosity and thank you for your service to our community!!!

CAC members....we need your help.
Our art gallery is open
Thursday - Sunday 11-3
We would like you to consider signing up to be a docent on our gallery schedule.
We are getting more and more visitors to our gallery to view the artwork and find out more information about our council.
The 4 hr. shift could be divided between two members.
It's a pleasant way to spend your time, you may also work on your own artwork during these hours.
Contact Laura if you are willing to help.

Plein Air Event - Sat. Aug. 27th 7-4
|
"En plein air" is the act of painting outdoors. This practice began in the mid-1700's and became more popular with the Impressionist artists in the mid to late 1800's.
Our first Plein Air Event will be a salute to Wentzville's 150th year celebration. Saturday, Aug. 27th 7 am - 4 pm, downtown Wentzville will be full of outdoor artists painting the designated historic sites.
Artists of all ages are welcome.
Cash Prizes will be given out.
Canvases will be displayed in September's CAC gallery art show.
If you've never painted outside, consider joining us for this event.
