The school is the first phase of the campus expansion project, with the second phase currently under construction. The ‘L’ shape of the building is a campus space defining geometry, relating to the whole of the campus and providing the inclined plane access to the campus overlook terrace. The precast concrete structural elements hold up the floors and define the exterior, incorporating the angle of the main incline.

HARDHAT HEROES…Like so many other industries, the precast industry is grappling with a transitioning workforce. Generational and technological transitions have left producers needing to focus on more than just the project at hand. As the industry maneuvers forward and embraces the fresh ideas of a new generation of employees, our seasoned colleagues often keep the push moving forward. Every plant has them…the ones who unlock the gate in the wee hours of the morning, the ones who turn on the lights and get everything humming. These are some of the most genuine and loyal heroes of our industry. Their grit and fortitude often go unnoticed and more often go unrewarded, but the role they play is an invaluable link in the chain that keeps precast plants churning out one great project after another. In a world where awards and recognition are so often bestowed at the upper tier, it seems appropriate to make a deliberate and routine effort to recognize these true “hardhat heroes” who make it happen day after day. As you pull through the gate or walk through the plant, ask yourself if the workforce in front of you is experiencing the gratitude they rightly deserve.

9 Ways for Keeping Precast Employees Happy
|
For a precast manufacturer to succeed, its employees must be happy. However, popular methods for increasing happiness are out-of-date. The secret to happiness is no longer getting raises and bonuses.
Employee engagement, essential to keeping your best performers and achieving consistent results, includes a large portion of employee satisfaction. Precasters and managers can implement regulations, provide benefits, and create a business culture that promotes employee well-being and increases productivity to increase employee retention rates. Everyone benefits when workers can maintain a healthy work-life balance and pursue fulfilling careers.
