Parent Conference Guidelines
For 7th grade, parents will meet with their child’s teachers. Your child may attend if you choose. If attending, students are required to be in uniform for their conferences. Parents should read through the Q1 Grade Reports prior to attending the conference and prepare any questions to ask of the teachers.
For 8th-10th grades, students attend conferences with their parents. In 8th – 10th grade, students should reflect on their performance in the first quarter and consider goals for the rest of the year in preparation for conferences. The conferences are led by the student’s team of teachers, guiding the student through a discussion of the first quarter and areas of focus moving forward. All sophomores and freshmen are required to be in uniform for their conferences.
Juniors and Seniors lead their conferences, explaining the areas they wish to grow in and identifying the strengths they will build upon moving into the second quarter. All Juniors and Seniors are required to wear their uniforms to their conferences.
All students have been given self-reflection sheets to use as a tool in preparation for their conference. If you would like to reference a copy, here are the Grades 7-10 Reflection Sheet and the Grades 11 & 12 Reflection Sheet.
To prepare for conferences:
- Review Q1 Grade Reports.
- Prepare any questions you may have based on conversation with your child and feedback from teachers.
- Students must wear their school uniform, and Juniors and Seniors must wear their school blazer.
- Arrive at the school 5 minutes before your conference is scheduled to begin.
We remain dedicated to our mission: cultivating the minds and hearts of our students through the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. Thank you for your partnership and trust. We are deeply grateful to teach your children!
