Happy Mother's Day!!
We have skipped spring all together and have jumped into summer weather. I am enjoying the warm, sunny weather and I am sure the rain will come.
This dry spring reminds John & I of 1998 (our first year here at Empire). We would watch clouds come and go wondering if we would ever get rain all through the months of April and May. It was very windy and blowing dust every day. On June 1st, 1998, we woke up to rain, and it rained for 14 consecutive days. It felt like we had webbed feet and could not wait for it to stop!
Our Temporary Foreign Workers arrive this week so we will have more help. The grass is growing fast. We are at least 2- 3 weeks early as my apple trees are full of blossoms.
