Beginning in October, you’ll find Troop Scoop in your inbox on the first Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. The new schedule will bring you important updates, upcoming opportunities and helpful resources earlier in the month as you plan ahead with your troop. Look for our first full edition on the new schedule Tuesday, Oct. 6. In the meantime, we have a few reminders and updates that can’t wait until October. Consider this your Mini Scoop--a little something to hold you over until the full scoop arrives!

Time to Renew Your Membership for 2027!

Please remind your troop families that 2026 memberships will expire on September 30, as we approach the new Girl Scout membership year. Encourage parents to log in and renew now so girls and troop volunteers remain active and ready for the new membership year. We’re looking forward to kicking off a great 2027!

Youth Leadership Council Applications

Ready to use your voice and help shape what’s next for Girl Scouts of Gateway Council? Girl Scouts ages 14 and older are invited to apply for the Youth Leadership Council (YLC), a youth advisory group that shares ideas and perspectives directly with council leadership.

Build leadership skills and learn about nonprofit governance
Share your voice on programs, activities, trends and issues that matter to Girl Scouts
Represent Gateway at select events and activities
Meet four times per year in a hybrid format
