A new year brings changes to calendars, resolutions for new habits, and a flood of emails from coworkers and our favorite brands who are just ‘circling back’ from their last contact in 2023. But that’s not all this new year brings! For Old Brooklyn, 2024 will feature new Gateway Welcome Signs as well!

787 Café is open!

ICYMI: 787 Café opened mid-December at 6101 Memphis Avenue – right next door to 787 Market! 787 Café is a modern coffee shop offering Puerto Rican-inspired foods and beverages like the Café con Leche. It’s a latte-style espresso drink that tends to be a little stronger than a typical latte. Anyone who gravitates toward a latte will enjoy it. You can also order frappes! There will be a limited selection of flavors to start, but you can expect it to grow! And if you’re looking for something sweet, definitely pick up some of their sugar donuts. Hours: 9am-7pm 

YP Wine & Cheese Night!



The first of our Young Professional (YP) quarterly events is a Wine & Cheese night! Join us at Pinwheel Gallery for an awesome wine & cheese tasting event. We'll have samples from our local specialty shop Old Brooklyn Cheese and four wines to taste. Four half pours and cheese are included in your $20 ticket! You must have a ticket to participate, deadline to sign-up is February 7!  

Pedal for Prizes



Old Brooklyn Pedal for Prizes is back for it’s 14th year!! Join the PFP team for one heckuva ride Saturday, May 18, 2024 during Cleveland Bicycle Month. Win great prizes, including brand new bicycles, simply by exploring local businesses and other points of interest while riding your bicycle throughout Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood. 

This year the ride will start at Old Brooklyn’s Loew Park. The park is located off W. 25th between Oak Park and Ralph Avenues, just east of William Cullen Bryant Elementary School. Registration starts at 10 a.m. and you will receive your punch card and a map of Old Brooklyn businesses and points of interest. 

Never Say Dive

If you haven’t been to Never Say Dive yet, you’re probably one of only a few Old Brooklyn residents who haven’t made the trek. The neighborhood has long been waiting to walk through the doors at 4497 Broadview Rd. Last January, Eric Ho, Dan Watson, Tommy Shaffner and John Hagerty took possession of the former Steelyard Tavern. A year later, on January 5, the doors finally opened to a crowd of people and continuous flow all night long. Never Say Dive will serve food until midnight during the week and 1 a.m. on weekends. Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 5pm-12pm, 1am on weekends.
