Bestselling Author and Neuroscientist to Headline Brain Science Luncheon
We’re very excited to announce that Lisa Genova, #1 International and New York Times bestselling author and neuroscientist, will serve as keynote speaker for our 4th Annual Brain Science Luncheon. This year the luncheon will be held on Thursday, October 9, at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel, and we hope you’ll make plans to join us as a sponsor or table host.
Acclaimed as the Oliver Sacks of fiction and the Michael Crichton of brain science, Genova has captured a special place in contemporary fiction, writing stories that are equally inspired by neuroscience and the human spirit. She is the NYT bestselling author of the novels Still Alice, Left Neglected, Love Anthony, Inside the O’Briens, and Every Note Played. Still Alice was adapted into a film starring Julianne Moore, who won the 2015 Best Actress Oscar for her role as Alice Howland. Genova is also the author of the nonfiction book, Remember: The Science of Memory and the Art of Forgetting. Her first TED talk, “What You Can Do To Prevent Alzheimer’s” has been viewed over eight million times. She graduated valedictorian, summa cum laude from Bates College with a degree in Biopsychology and has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard University.
