Dear Friends of The CARE Center,
As the air turns crisp and the leaves begin to fall, we’re filled with excitement for all that this new season brings. Our after-school programs are thriving, offering local students a place to explore their passions, gain new skills, and make lasting memories with their peers. It’s heartwarming to witness the growth and joy these opportunities provide for our youngest neighbors.
We are also beyond grateful to share that the Gregg Berens Memorial, I Golf Because I CARE Fundraising Tournament was a huge success! With 53 sponsors, 122 golfers, and 21 volunteers, a total of 196 community members came together in an incredible show of support for our mission. It was a day filled with camaraderie, fun, and the spirit of giving. Our hearts are full, and we cannot thank you enough for making this event so special. Your generosity is helping to pave the way for brighter futures for our neighbors in need.
As we look ahead to the holiday season, we are deeply thankful for our mission partners at Cove Church, who provided Fall Break Bags of Blessings, and Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ, who have once again stepped up to help us provide Thanksgiving Bags of Blessings to families facing food insecurity. Each bag will be filled with a complete Thanksgiving meal, including a voucher for a turkey, ensuring that families can come together for a special meal with peace of mind. Because no one should have to worry about food, especially during the holidays.
Mark your calendars for some important dates next month! It all starts with Thanksgiving, followed by Black Friday and Shop Local Saturday to support our community programs through our thrift stores. Cyber Monday offers a chance to shop with purpose from your devices by shopping our Amazon wishlists, and Giving Tuesday is the perfect time to give back to a worthy cause.
