CORNERSTONE HAPPENINGS IN 2024

Cornerstone would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our network, for your engagement and participation in our offerings. In the year 2024, we experienced a 50% increase in our in-practice programs. We also expanded our market research programs through Advisory Boards, Practice Patterns and Peer to Peer Insight programs.

Consistent with Cornerstone’s mission to provide value to community oncology practices to help maximize the quality of patient care, Cornerstone hosts virtual in-practice Challenging Cases as an educational initiative with a patient case-based format and peer led moderation. Challenging Cases offer a balanced perspective of the current treatment landscape, consistent with FDA and NCCN Guidelines, and provides an opportunity for peer-to peer exchange. Cornerstone’s National Fall Summit was held in Las Vegas on October 18th and 19th with 45 network members in attendance. The 2-day event provided a chance to discuss changes in the oncology landscape, an opportunity to learn about CSN value offerings and how they support independence in community oncology, as well as best practices to create long-term, sustainable value for practices. Edith A. Perez, M.D., Cornerstone’s Medical Director and Professor Emeritus at Mayo Clinic, along with representatives from Viz.AI, discussed the timely topic of “The Evolving Role of AI in Community Oncology”.

Our ESMO Symposium was held virtually on October 24, 2024, with our cochairs Dr. Edith Perez, Dr. Sujith Kalmadi, and Dr. Eric Schaefer highlighting practice changing trials from the ESMO 2024 Congress as well as key updates from WCLC 2024 and a review of data leading to recent FDA approvals. According to Forbes Health, 62% of people say they feel pressured to set a New Year’s resolution. However, maintaining those resolutions is a different story. Most people keep their resolutions for two to three months, with only 1% making it to a year. Therefore, experts recommend setting resolutions that are both meaningful and achievable. Planning and asserting your goals is the first step to achieving them.

We aim to keep our (CSN) resolution to provide value to the network.

Do you keep your New Year resolutions?
Yes, always
Only for a month or so
Too busy helping patients!

The tally results will appear in the January newsletter.
