Dave and Jim are long-time friends who'll be joining us to talk about cancer, friendship, and their resolve to keep it real – and where possible – keep it funny!

Dave is an award-winning host, writer, performer, and interviewer. He has led conversations with business and political leaders across North America and beyond, from Stanford School of Business in California to Amman, Jordan and everywhere in between.
If he looks familiar to you, it may be because Dave is the host of Dave Kelly Live, a variety talk show that features many notable Canadian performers, athletes, and personalities. Dave is also co-founder of Kelly Brothers Productions, a content company based in Calgary and Toronto that specializes in video and live events. Dave was the face of morning television in Calgary for over a decade, and in 2018, the host and interviewer for Ellen DeGeneres' Canadian tour. Dave also interviewed and hosted a conversation with President Barack Obama at the Saddledome in Calgary, AB.

These days, Jim is on sabbatical while he deals with his diagnosis of stage four terminal renal cell carcinoma. As he travels this journey, he has been writing a blog to help those following in his cancer path with ideas, stories and inspiration.
His passion for community investment has been a common thread through his career and has earned him a philanthropy award from the Canadian Association of Fundraising Professionals, two “40 Under 40” awards with Avenue Magazine, an e-Award for Community Service from Alberta Venture Magazine, the Sherrold Moore Community Award through the Calgary Chamber, a Calgary Leader award by Business in Calgary Magazine and most recently, the Community Builder of the Year award from the Alberta Small Brewers Association.
For over 30 years, Jim has been a leader in experiential marketing with an emphasis on events, public relations, promotions and community building.
