September News for Our Teachers

We hope everyone is having a great start to the school year!

This month's newsletter includes information about several key resources to support your implementation of Texas College Bridge - from training videos to our updated marketing toolkit for use by districts and high schools. In addition to our resource-filled website, PLC sessions, office help hours and 1:1 personalized help, we also want to let you know that we are now on social media and you can follow us on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn. Lastly, we want to make everyone aware of an upcoming math audit that we will be conducting next month.

TCB Evaluation Results: Recording Now Available

Last month, we were excited to share the results from our ongoing TCB Program Evaluation on a special webinar for our partners. This year's results not only show that TCB is continuing to make a positive impact on student success, but also that TCB students are outperforming students of other HB 5 college prep programs.

If you were unable to join our recent webinar on the evaluation results, a recording of the 30-minute session is now available for viewing on our website. The full Evaluation Report is also available to download, and you can read more about the results on our news page.

Recorded Trainings for District Leaders and Teachers

Our training videos for district leaders and teachers, on our website, are a great way to get up to speed with program implementation at the start of the school year. Whether you are new to TCB or if you have been with us a while, these recorded sessions cover all the basics of what you need to know to get going with program administration and facilitation.

GreenLight Locker Set Up and Support

We're very happy to see students already setting up their GreenLight Locker accounts, for claiming their Certificates of Completion.

As your students register and activate their GreenLight Locker accounts, please advise them that they should only set up one account, ideally using a personal email address. Once they set up their account, if they have issues accessing it, they should not set up a second account. Instead, they should contact GreenLight support using this form.

For how to claim a certificate in a pre-existing GreenLight Locker account, click here.

For all other student questions about accessing certificates, please visit the online Help Center.

Marketing Toolkit

To help you communicate about Texas College Bridge with students and parents, we have updated our Marketing Toolkit, now available for downloading from our website. In the Toolkit, you'll find a variety of communications and graphic assets to support your needs - draft emails and texts, email and document headers, images for social media, printable postcards and more.

On our website, you'll also find a wide variety of downloadable and linked resources to support your implementation of Texas College Bridge, plus links to support information in our online Help Center.

Upcoming PLC Sessions

To build on the learnings covered in the video tutorials, we are continuing to host PLC sessions for district coordinators and teachers over the coming months. These sessions do not cover program basics but provide an opportunity to ask questions and share best practices for TCB implementation with districts across the state. If you are unable to attend, you can access the recording HERE

Upcoming Math Audit

Next month, Texas College Bridge will be conducting a math audit. If your district is selected for inclusion in the audit, you will receive a letter in early October (see a sample letter here). This audit is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure mastery of course material and completions, and we want to thank all districts in advance for your support in this matter.
