Message from Principal Hamilton

Dear Everest Parents,

Alleluia! Christ is Risen!

As I shared with our students during yesterday’s assembly, the joy of Easter has only just begun. After our forty days of Lenten fasting, the Church now enters a beautiful 50-day celebration of Christ’s Resurrection!

In this week's newsletter, we are shining a light on the wonderful accomplishments of our students in two vital areas of their growth: academic excellence and human formation.

Term 2 Honor Roll

We are incredibly proud to announce the students named to the Honor Roll for Term 2. These 6th-8th grade students have shown great dedication and heart, earning high marks in both their intellectual and personal development. Students in 6th-8th grade earning high marks in their intellectual and human formation at the end of each term are acknowledged in our Honor Roll. Emphasis is placed on the core academic subjects, which include: Catholic formation, history, English/language arts, mathematics, and Spanish.

Honor Roll: Granted to students with an A or B in all core subjects for the term, an A or B in gym, art, and music, 5 or fewer tardies for the term, and a 2.0 overall Formation grade.

High Honor Roll: Granted to students with an A in all core subjects for the term, an A or B in gym, art, and music, 3 or fewer tardies for the term, and a 2.1 overall Formation grade.

Principal’s Honor Roll: Granted to students with an A+ in all core subjects for the term, an A in gym, art, and music, 3 or fewer tardies for the term, and a 2.2 overall Formation grade.

March Knights of Virtue

Second, congratulations to the students and teacher who were named March Knights of Virtue for living the virtue of Faith, the strength to believe in God and trust in His promises, even when we do not see or fully understand.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to our Everest families for your incredible generosity! It is through your support that our mission continues to flourish.

  • Annual Appeal: It was wonderful to see so many answer the question “Orange You Committed?” and respond with a donation. We are currently finalizing the results and look forward to sharing the official impact of your donations with you shortly.
  • Buckets of Hope: Our gym was full of energy today as students gathered to assemble relief buckets for families affected by natural disasters. A special thank you to our Student Government for their leadership in organizing this effort, and to all of you for providing the donations that made these "buckets of hope" possible.

As we continue our celebration of Easter, may your homes and our school be filled with the lasting peace and hope of the Risen Christ.

Rejoicing in gratitude for God's blessings,

Candy Hamilton
