FORUMS ON PRAYER

with Mother Sara

This Week Sept. 20 &

Next Week, Sept. 27

10:00 in the Conference Room

Are you longing for a deeper experience of God’s presence? Would you like to broaden your prayer practices, grow spiritually, and learn from other parishioners also? Drawing from Richard Foster’s classic book Prayer, Finding the Heart’s True Home and Praying with Clare of Assisi in the Companions for the Journey series, Mother Sara will explore a variety of forms of prayer. We will be encouraged to step out in faith, ask questions, and find practices that nourish and sustain us in our faith journeys. As Foster writes: “God longs for our presence. And God is inviting you-and me- to come home to where we belong, to come home to that for which we were created.” See you at 9.55 a.m. in the Conference Room on Sunday September 20th and 27th for this 2 part-series on prayer.

Survey deadline

extended through Sunday

by Lisa Watson, Sr. Warden

While we have received important input to date on our parish survey (many thanks to those of you who have responded!), we still are far short of hearing from everyone. Learning more about you and getting your input is critical to helping us to offer programs and opportunities that best meet our congregational needs. It only takes 10+ minutes and may be completed easily from your phone (if desired). Be assured that all  responses are anonymous. At this point, we've heard from very few congregants who are in the "younger than 65" age categories.

PLEASE CLICK HERE

TO COMPLETE SURVEY

We have extended the deadline through this Sunday. We really want to hear from you! Your voice matters at All Souls.

Take a few minutes to provide us with a little information about yourself, along with feedback that will help us as we work to offer meaningful experiences that foster spiritual fulfillment and growth over the next year. Thank you!

Diaper Drive

Runs Now thru All Saints Day, Nov. 1

Would you believe that the average cost to diaper a baby in our region is $1,200 per year? It’s no wonder that nearly half of families struggle with diaper insecurity. To help in a small way, and to celebrate the opening of our All Souls Nursery, the Outreach Committee is hosting a diaper drive to benefit the Greater DC Diaper Bank. Between now and All Saints Day November 1, those with extra diapers, pullups, or overnights can bring them to the undercroft (open packages ok). Others can donate cash through All Souls, indicate Diaper Drive in the memo section. Please see Daniel Callis for any questions. or email him at dtcallis@icloud.com.

Ingathering Sunday on September 13, 2026 was a wonderful time of fellowship.

Thank you all!

Dearest Congregation,

Thank you for a lovely gathering at our Annual Picnic Potluck. We extend our sincere appreciation to our outstanding Grill Ensemble: Elizabeth, Jimmy, and Mr. Scott.

As Dee shared: “It warmed my heart to see people enjoying themselves, renewing old friendships, and building new connections over a fine meal.”

Please mark your calendars for our next potluck on All Souls Remembrance Sunday, November 1. More details will be shared in the coming weeks. More information is forthcoming.

Blessings, Inreach Co-Chairs:

Dee Snyder & vEnessa Acham
