FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 29, 2025
Garrett Planning Network (GPN) proudly marks the first anniversary of becoming a member-owned organization under the GPN Alliance. This milestone reinforces the Network’s enduring commitment to transparent, accessible, and fee-only financial advice.
In the year since the transition, GPN has gained new momentum. A major development was the appointment of Rachael Lord, CAE, as Managing Director. With more than a decade of experience in association leadership, Lord brings a community-centered, mission-driven vision to support GPN’s next chapter.
GPN advisors are united by three core principles:
-
Fiduciary: Ethically and legally bound to put their clients’ best interests first.
-
Fee-Only: Compensated solely by their clients—never through commissions or product incentives.
-
Accessible: Offering advice by the hour or project, with no asset minimums or long-term commitments.
“I'm honored to join this remarkable community and uphold Sheryl Garrett’s legacy,” said Rachael Lord, Managing Director of GPN. “Our commitment to accessible, fiduciary, fee-only planning deeply resonates with my values and vision for the future. The future of financial planning is here, and it looks a lot like GPN.”
Looking ahead, the 2025 GPN Retreat in Salt Lake City, Utah (July 31–August 3) will bring together advisors from across the country to collaborate, connect, and co-create the Network’s future.
“This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the Network, and I’m thrilled to help lead us into the next quarter century,” added Lord. “This community is unlike any I’ve seen. Everyone is here for a reason. They are electric. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
