From "Little Vinnie" to U.S. Marine!

We are incredibly proud to announce that Vinnie Esguerra Jr., son of longtime Encon team member Felicia, has officially earned the title of United States Marine! Known affectionately as “Little Vinnie,” he practically grew up at Encon. We had the privilege of watching him grow up, and now we couldn’t be more proud to celebrate this incredible accomplishment with him.

Vinnie is also continuing a proud family legacy of military service, following in the footsteps of the Marines in his family. Congratulations, Little Vinnie! We salute you and wish you all the best as you begin this exciting new chapter.

Another Successful Trade Show


Thank you to all the vendors and customers who attended our successful Encon NorCal Trade Show. With nearly 25 exhibitors, attendees had an opportunity to view all the latest products.

We also raffled off over 35 prizes including a 70” TV! In honor of DOLLY DAY, we hosted a Dolly Parton inspired Battle of the Sweet Treats and DoorKing’s Lamar Jackson won for the second year in a row with a delicious peach cream puff dessert.

NICE launches MCX Platform

In August, Nice introduced MCX, a new commercial door operator platform engineered for warehouse, loading dock and industrial applications. MCX is available in three models: the MCX-J jackshaft operator, MCX-H jackshaft hoist and MCX-GH heavy-duty jackshaft hoist.

AES Loops

Encon is excited to stock AES' wireless vehicle detection loops including their latest generation - the e-Loop Version. Version 4 of the AES e-loop has several significant updates and new features.

New LiftMaster SRDKPv2 Smart Reader
The LiftMaster SRDRKPv2 2nd Generation Single-Gang Smart Reader with Keypad provides secure, flexible credentialed access for commercial buildings, gated communities, parking facilities, elevators, amenity areas, and other controlled entrances. Its integrated keypad supports PIN-based entry, while multi-technology credential support allows users to present compatible NFC, 125 kHz proximity, or Bluetooth credentials.

LiftMaster MAXUM X is Now UL 325-Certified

LiftMaster's MAXUM 'X' Extended Duty models are now UL 325-certified for Continuous Duty, supporting up to 100 cycles per hour in high-traffic environments. Units manufactured before February 9, 2026, can be upgraded to Continuous Duty via firmware version 1.21 or higher, with no hardware changes required.

EMX Redesigns WEL-200T

EMX announced that the WEL-200T transmitter has been redesigned and is shipping NOW.

What's new?
The updated WEL-200T transmitter has a redesigned housing, an LED status window readable with the cover closed, captive case screws, and a metal mounting bracket is included. The radio, wiring, and operation are unchanged, as is the WEL-200R receiver.

PCP Capability: Red and black work together. A green WEL-200 PCB only works with green. Please note, the green version has been discontinued.

October is Gate Safety Awareness Month
