Protect your Flexmls account with required multi-factor authentication

Beginning Oct. 26, multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be mandatory for all Flexmls users. When you log in, you’ll enter a security code in addition to your password to verify your identity. This is an additional security step to help protect your MLS account.

We understand MFA adds one more step when logging in, but this extra layer of protection can help prevent unauthorized access to your account. If an MLS account is compromised, unauthorized users could potentially gain access to sensitive information, including client and contact information, listing details, lockbox information and property access information, depending on your level of access.

MFA must be enabled through a web browser on a desktop computer. You can use a browser such as Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge or Firefox to enable MFA. MFA cannot be enabled through the Flexmls mobile app. If you have not enabled MFA by Oct. 26, you will be unable to log in to the mobile app until you enable MFA through the Flexmls desktop site.

Flexmls supports MFA through text message, phone call or an authenticator app. To make the process easier, Flexmls offers an option to remember your device for 30 days. By selecting this option, you’ll only need to complete the MFA verification process once every 30 days on that device.

Please enable MFA on the Flexmls desktop site before Oct. 26 to avoid interruptions to your mobile app access. We also recommend enabling the 30-day device recognition option to make the login process more convenient.

Why Enable MFA?

MFA provides an added layer of protection beyond your password and helps reduce the risk of unauthorized access to your Flexmls account and the sensitive information you access through it.

While MFA is one more step, it is an important step in protecting your account, your clients’ information and the sensitive MLS and property access information you rely on every day.

How It Works:

Once MFA is enabled in your profile settings, you’ll be asked to enter a verification code when you log in to Flexmls. You can choose to receive your code through an authenticator app, text message or phone call.

If you frequently work in locations with limited or unreliable cell service, we also recommend using an authenticator app, which can generate verification codes without an internet or cellular connection.
