Thank you for joining us this week as we at the Baptist World Alliance pray for our global Baptist family and for God's work around the world. If you pray along with us weekly, you will pray for every country in the world in 2025.

Praises and prayer requests listed for each country are provided by local BWA member partners when possible. Statistics provided are reflective of latest data received.

Kenya

With support from a BWA Women grant, children's ministry leaders from 36 countries gathered in Kenya last year for a continent-wide training and networking event.

Praise:

Join us in giving thanks for the leadership of Jane Mwangi who serves as President of Baptist Women’s Union of Africa, one of the seven continental unions of BWA Women, and Elijah Wanje who serves as a BWA Vice President.

Prayer:

Half of the 41 million people in Kenya live in poverty. Pray for opportunities for the Church to be a source of help and hope to those in need.

Tanzania

Baptist youth assembled for a time of worship and learning together.

Praise:

We thank God and praise Him for enabling us to accomplish our head office building, which will be officially opened in July 2025. We are grateful for the growth at Tanzania Baptist Theological Seminary and give thanks for the pastors and church servants who graduated last week and are ready for ministry.

Prayer:

Pray for our Annual General Meeting. taking place July 14-17, 2025. Pray for our church planting strategies to be fruitful and for provision of funds to facilitate construction of new church buildings.

Praying for the Baptist World Congress

Join us in prayer for God’s guidance, wisdom, and protection over all who are organizing, speaking, and attending. Pray that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully during this global gathering – bringing unity among diverse cultures, renewing the hearts of believers, and equipping the global Baptist family to be a bold and compassionate witness for Christ in every nation.

A Prayer of Hope

God of Hope,

whose Spirit gives light and power to your people,

empower us to witness to your name in all nations,

to struggle for your own justice

against all principalities and powers

and to persevere with faith and humour

in the tasks that you have given to us.

Without you we are powerless.

Therefore we cry together:

Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus.

And grant that we may with one voice and one heart

glorify and sing praise to the majesty of your holy Name,

of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
