Greetings from C. Darby Ulery, founder of "Let's Go! Fairhope," events-related newsletter, calendar and website resource for Fairhope, Alabama.

Welcome to June! This past week, we heard from two readers who shared stories of learning about events here they hadn't seen anywhere else. That's why "Let's Go! Fairhope" exists. Thanks for letting us know.

Monday, June 2, the State of Alabama will observe Confederate President Jefferson Davis' birthday. Learn more about the state holiday in this article via the Montgomery Advertiser.

June 6 is Art Walk in Fairhope. It is also the anniversary of D-Day. Fairhope Author Winston Groom (1943-2020) speaks in a three-minute video embedded in this History.com article about the significance of this military event. (Footage may be triggering for some audiences.)

Thank-you to Mark Perron for his gift to Let's Go! Fairhope last Sunday. Mark's contribution and comment is very much appreciated. Mark describes Let's Go! Fairhope as "A great resource that my wife and I have come to rely on!" It really helps keep the project going in so many ways. Thank you so much, Mark!

Shout-out to Bill-E's Bacon / Bill-E's Restaurant for becoming the latest "Let's Go!" Level partner-sponsor helping to bring events-related information to the community. Bill-E's sports a monthly bike night, weekly live music line up, catering, event-hosting opportunities, and more. They've joined a growing group of folks who believe in the value of neighbors helping neighbors with local informational resources. Thank you!

We couldn't do this without readers and community members like YOU who are following and submitting information and support. Please help us continue the community events-related information project here.

Choose "View entire message" below, or view from the website, so you don't miss anything below including a sneak peek of a VERY unique live music show (er, spectacle) scheduled for later this month...

Don't forget: Father's Day is two weeks from today.

***Please reply with local Father's Day ideas ***

Suggestions from partner-sponsors:

"Small Batch Bacon from Fairhope makes a great gift for the guy who has everything. It's easy because we even ship it for you." -William "Bill-E" Stitt Shop via the graphic below:

The Haven No-Kill Animal Shelter's benefit concert Saturday was a boot-stompin' boogie blast. If you missed it, you can still help: Consider gifting Dad a Monthly Mutts Club membership or a Tribute Gift:

**No-Cost option: Tell Dad about THIS cool tool to tour Baldwin County historic sites without leaving the recliner!**
