MFA Longevity Market Report
News and insights from thought leaders in the longevity economy

January 2025

Dear friends and colleagues,

I must start my newsletter by acknowledging the devastation of the California wildfires. In particular, older adults have struggled to remain safe, as we have seen in many emergency situations. You can find a list of great organizations to donate to in order to support victims of the wildfires here.

There is momentum in the longevity market like we’ve never seen before! Our sold-out Longevity Innovation Summit was a huge success. It was a convergence of start-ups, funders, policymakers, and more. You can watch two amazing sessions from the conference: Bob Blancato's Aging Policy Trends for 2025 and the panel on Caregiving Innovations That Matter. The momentum in the longevity market is also evident in funding news, where we see more entrants into the market and more funding coming through. It is also evident at conferences like CES, where there was sky-high attendance for the AgeTek portion; at the JP Morgan Conference; at the Healthtech for Medicaid Conference where I participated in a panel; and our event at the Golden Gate Yacht Club, where we partnered with NIA, AgeTech Capital, and CABHI to bring together innovative start-ups in the field.

Wishing everyone an exciting, healthy, and productive year ahead!

Warmly,

Mary

What's Next Longevity Innovation Summit a Huge Success

The conference, held in Washington, DC in December, gathered more than 200 attendees from all over the country and overseas, and took a deep dive into topics around longevity and the $648 billion care economy. Attendees enjoyed the sense of community and the ability to connect with key stakeholders, in addition to the valuable insights they gained through the conference content and conversations with other attendees. We extend our appreciation to our sponsors and exceptional presenters for helping us make it happen. Planning is underway for December 2025. And be sure to mark your calendar for the 22nd annual What's Next Longevity Venture Summit, taking place in San Francisco, June 11-12.
