Ms. Cristal's Integrated Math class is exploring the "Hidden Triangles" project, where students use trigonometry to identify and measure triangular shapes around the school campus. By calculating angles and side lengths, students are applying classroom concepts to real-world scenarios, fostering critical thinking and developing their spatial awareness. This engaging project transforms our campus into an interactive math lab, helping everyone to realize that mathematics is all around us.

Our 9th grade students recently enjoyed an exciting day at the Fleet Science Center in San Diego's Balboa Park. The adventure began with an awe-inspiring IMAX movie in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater, where students were immersed in a spectacular scientific journey on the 76-foot wraparound screen. Following the film, students explored hands-on exhibits that brought science to life, such as illusions in the aptly named "Illusions" gallery and energy concepts in the "So Watt!" exhibit. A highlight was the "Pause|Play" exhibit, where students could disconnect from technology to engage in physical activities, including building sand landscapes and exploring light and perception. The trip concluded with lunch at the science center, where students and teachers enjoyed each other's company while discussing their favorite exhibits.
