Greetings From Mr. Estes... | | |
Dear SASEAS Families,
Despite the cool mornings, I hope you are enjoying this sunny warm weather and creating opportunities to spend some quality time with family and friends outside. I know our staff and students are appreciating the ability to comfortably be outside for recess. As daily temperatures begin to fluctuate and decrease, please be mindful that students will continue to go outside for recess and will need to dress accordingly; I know this can be challenging at this time of year, we appreciate your assistance.
Following mass last Thursday our St Andrew campus school community and guests, along with Fr. Del, celebrated our first character awards for the year at our St. Andrew campus. Our saint of the month was our Mother Mary and the virtue being recognized was Humility; during his homily Fr Del shared one perspective that humility is “not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less.” Congratulations to Liam Detzel, Ariana Willard, and Desmond Flynn, thank you for your example and humble service to our school community.
Thank you to our PTO and volunteers for hosting their annual Trunk or Treat event this Friday, please see the reminders section for details for this and other upcoming events.
Make it a great week!
Paul Estes

We are having such a lovely stretch of fall weather this week in the preschool. Mrs. Christina’s 3-year-old classes are talking about farms and pumpkins (and Pumpkin Farms!). They are painting bubbles over a cauldron in art and drawing pumpkin patches in their journals. They are counting horses on their farms and in religion they are learning about patience.
Mrs. Sheila’s class is learning that “P is for Pumpkin” while they cut pumpkin cookies from Playdoh, count pumpkins, and make pumpkin patterns. In religion they are making a pumpkin painting that shines with the light of Jesus.
Our four-year-old preschool classes are dissecting pumpkins this week and discussing the life cycle of the pumpkin in science. In math they are counting pumpkins while working with ten frames. In art they are doing a variety of things from recreating the inside of a pumpkin, making a pumpkin out of paper strips, painting with dried corn cobs, and gluing 5 little pumpkins to a gate. Their religion lesson is about Moses and the Ten Commandments.
The five-year-old class also has a Pumpkin theme this week as they study the stages of the pumpkin life cycle. In language arts they are pulling sight words from a pumpkin and stamping their letters on a paper. In art they are making a “5 Little Pumpkins on a Gate” project. In science they are learning about Pumpkin Jack, and making a Pumpkin Jack in their classroom, and in religion they are learning about God’s promise of a savior.
Enjoy the fall weather!
Mrs. Aimee

Step Into Leadership
Board Positions Opening Soon!
Ready to make a bigger impact with Boosters? Our President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are stepping into their final year in these roles — which means now is the perfect time to start preparing to lead.
We're looking for dedicated volunteers to shadow one of these positions for 6–12 months before officially taking the reins in 2028. It's a rewarding way to give back, build lasting relationships within our community, and help shape the future of SASEAS Boosters.
Interested, or just want to learn more about what each role involves? Reach out to Jason Reeves at saseasboosterspresident@gmail.com — we'd love to talk with you.
If you are interested in joining the Boosters Executive Board please reach out to Jason Reeves by Friday, October 30.
