Celebrating Pride Month
2SLGBTQIA+ caregivers experience many of the same responsibilities, demands and rewards of caregiving, but they also face some unique issues and concerns at the individual, community, health and social care system levels. We recognize that culturally appropriate care is critical to both 2SLGBTQIA+ caregivers and their care recipients.

If you’re a 2SLGBTQIA+ caregiver and seeking resources for yourself or caring for someone who is 2SLGBTQIA+ identified, you may find some of these resources helpful.

Erica Ehm and OCO Deliver Another Undercover Act of Kindness!
Have you seen our latest Undercover Kindness Project? We visited Kari - a mother and caregiver who supports her autistic daughter. We surprised Kari with a simple act of kindness, which included cleaning and organizing around the house. The impact of doing something simple can relieve a time-strapped caregiver. Watch until the end when we surprised Kari with something extra – just for her.

OCO Online Learning Library
We understand caregivers are busy. Whether you are caring for someone for a short time or an indefinite period, it is hard to find the time to expand your knowledge and skills about caregiving. With the Online Learning Library, you will find a module that suits your needs. This free, self-directed eLearning platform provides caregivers with educational information such as engaging with healthcare providers, conflicts in caregiving, and many more. You can complete the courses at a time that is convenient to you, starting and stopping as needed.
