Love is in the Air! Time for New Classes Puppy Basic Obedience & Reactive Dog Class Private Training Options

Give Peaceful Living with Your Dog a Chance! First Classes of 2022! Saturday, March 19th! Enroll now to get the education and social experiences your puppy will need to last a lifetime. These classes will be held outdoors to keep everyone safe. Please sign up quickly as the last classes filled up in two days after the newsletter went out. Puppy Kindergarten - 11:00am - 12:00pm Our Puppy Kindergarten class, for puppies 8 weeks and up is second to none. This superb class will cover all of the basics and so much more. We'll build attention and focus, "install" impulse control (no jumping. leave it and much more), walking on a loose leash and "come when called". Your pup will play with a variety of other puppies and your expert trainer will supervise and make sure each pup is developing the play skills to keep them safe and happy. Puppy II (Intermediate Level) - 12:15 - 1:15pm Puppy II class will take you and your puppy to the next level of achievement. We work at a higher level of everything we did in Puppy Kindergarten - longer attention and focus, improving impulse control (leave it, no jumping and ability to generalize skills), recall, leash control and overall obedience. The size of this class is also limited, so please enroll soon and guarantee a place for you and your pup. If you missed our Puppy Kindergarten and have an older puppy (6 months and up) please contact Deborah directly to set up a private training session to boost you and your pup's skill level to enable you to feel comfortable in the Puppy II class. Thursday, March 24th! 6:00pm Advanced Meet & Greet (reactive dog class) AMG is our signature class and one we've been doing for over 15 years. This superb remedial socializing class has been helping people and their over-excited, under-socialized or reactive dogs learn to behave better in public while on leash. It is designed for dogs that react to other dogs, birds, squirrels, people, cars, scooters and anything that moves. It's simply amazing to see how we can de-sensitize and counter-condition dogs to things in their world that create fear and unwanted reactivity. Whether they are responding with too much enthusiasm or simply afraid, this is a "must do" class for you and your dog. Much like our other classes, AMG fills up quickly. Email Deborah Private Training During the pandemic many of you did something you have thought about doing for a very long time. You rescued a dog from a shelter or rescue organization. If this is the case and you found yourself with a wonderful older dog with some "issues" and need some help with your new addition we are here for you. Some of you will enroll in the next Advanced Meet & Greet class to help with remedial socializing. Others may not be able to make it to a group class and will want to work privately. Whether it's working on "recall" with a skittish dog that has to learn and develop trust or "stay", "walking nicely on leash", "not jumping on things or people" or a host of other behaviors, we can help. With each private session, we work on different things to deepen your understanding of "canine behavior" and expand you and your dog's skill level.
