Hubble Stitch was created by Melanie de Miguel and she has graciously given me permission to show you how to do the stitch and how to make the first project in her book.
Some of you might be asking "What is Hubble Stitch?" Well according to Melanie, it is best described as a blend of herringbone and ladder stitch and a close cousin of Right Angle Weave all rolled into one. I hope you will join me today to see exactly what Hubble Stitch is!

If you want to make the first project with me, here are a list of supplies you will need:
*2g Size 11 Seed Beads in 7 colors (A, B, C, D, E, F, G)
*12 size 15 Seed Beads
*6 5mm Daisy Spacers
*3 Loop Slide Clasp
*Size 12 Beading Needle
*4lb Fire Line
The colors Melanie suggests use in the book are:
(A) Violet
(B)Metallic Dark Blue Iris
(C) Opaque Turquoise
(D) Grass Green Lined Chartreuse
(E) Frosted Canary Yellow
(F) Frosted Ruby AB
(G) Orange AB

f you don't have a bunch of size 11/0 seed beads, it's ok! Use what you have. One of the samples I will be showing in the video only uses 4 colors! For this project, it will be best to use regular 11/0's and NOT 11/0 Delica beads. The delica beads don't look as good when doing this stitch.
