Hello!
We need a sanity break every so often. We need to step back and look at the big picture, that is, as long as we stay six feet apart from others when we do.
We are having a beautiful spring. The birds are back, and the bees are busy in the fruit trees. Wildflowers and gardens alike are bursting with color. The air is soft, and the sunshine is warming the soil. Many of us have unexpected time to ourselves. Those of us still working at jobs are finding ways to get things done. While finances are scary for some, many of us are more generous than ever with our funds, time, help, and expertise. Yep. I'm still me,you are still you. The world is still the world. We are all still sailing together on this little blue planet.
Okay. Now I can turn my attention again to the news and statistics, the email about the nearby town's first Corona cases, conversations with friends around the country about their precautions and worries. And I pray daily for help and comfort for everyone everywhere affected by the pandemic, and for swift victory over it. Soon, we will look back on these times with new wisdom. And very clean hands.
The moon eloquently expresses the nuances in nature. Our nearest celestial neighbor, she is at once familiar and mysterious, beautiful and eerie. Enjoy!
Sincerely with love,
Emmie Derise
