Greetings IREM West-Central MD Chapter 92 Family,
Happy Fall! I know everyone is excited about pumpkin everything, hot chocolate, campfires, and s’mores season! I know I am!
In September, we had our Annual Crab Feast at May’s! It is an annual tradition and always such a success! Thank you all for attending and donating cleaning supplies that were donated to the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless. Thank you to CoreCom Commercial Painting, Oasis Plantscaping, Ruppert Landscape & Unlimited Restoration, Inc. for helping to sponsor this great event!
Our Annual Golf Tournament at Bretton Woods In September was a tremendous success and I want to say thank you to the Golf Tournament Committee for all your hard work!! We had perfect weather, along with so many amazing door prizes! Thank you all who attended! We hope you all had as much fun as we did!! We helped raise $10,000 that will be donated to the Maryland Food Bank at our November meeting.
We hope you were able to join us for the 2022 MEGA Meeting held on October 11th. We enjoyed listening and being motivated by NFL’s Legend Joe Theismann. Joe had a fantastic presentation entitled “A Game Plan for Success & The Challenge of Change!" Joe was such an incredible speaker! He was generous enough to autograph five footballs that we raffled off in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We raised $1600 that will be donated to St. Jude's. WOW, that was impressive!! Thank you for your support! Thank you to: BrightView, C&C Complete Services, Clean & Polish, Kastle and USSI for helping to sponsor this event.
On December 1st, please join us for the Tri-Chapter Holiday Happy Hour! This event will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm at Clyde’s of Gallery Place in Washington, DC. Members, colleagues, and Industry Partners from IREM’s DC, Northern Virginia and West Central MD will all be there to celebrate the season together! Stay tuned for registration information and we hope to see you there!
As we begin closing out this year and making plans for 2023, I would like to make a call to action--if you have been thinking about getting more involved, now is the time!!! We are seeking volunteers to serve as part of our 2023 committees! Everyone is welcome to join so get involved and help make a difference in our chapter! I want to thank everyone for your continued membership and support.
I hope you will join us for the last two events of the year! Thank you again for a wonderful year! It has been a true honor serving as your 2022 President! I cannot wait to see everyone on November 10th!
