2026 Licence Renewals

Licensees are advised that the 2026 licence renewal program will commence on 1 September 2025.

HRNSW take this opportunity to remind all licensees that they are required to renew their licence (unless already otherwise notified) through the HarnessWeb portal as paper based renewals will not be posted out as has historically been the case.

If you do not have a HarnessWeb account, you can easily apply by:

1)    Clicking on the link to the right >>> HarnessWeb Home Page;

2)    Clicking on the Don’t have an account? link;

3)    Follow the prompts.

License holders that are genuinely unable to access HarnessWeb due to internet coverage issues, lack of technology (ie: computer, tablet or smartphone) etc, may request that a printed copy of the renewal document be made available to them.

If this service is required, please email your name and licence number to licensing@hrnsw.com.au no later than Tuesday, 30 September 2025.

Note that, if you do not currently hold a licence (ie: you did not renew your licence for 2025) you will need to complete) and submit a paper renewal application.

Additionally, if you are wishing to downgrade your licence (ie: Trainer / Driver to Trainer only) you will also need to complete and submit a paper renewal application as licenses can only be renewed at their current licencing level via HarnessWeb.

Renewal applications will be made available by emailing your name and licence number to licensing@hrnsw.com.au.

All licensees (with the exception of Stablehand, Non-Driving) are required to undertake a Medical Assessment.

The assessments can be downloaded as part of the HarnessWeb licence renewal process (or by visiting the HRNSW website >> Click Here).  

Completed Medical Assessments can be uploaded as part of the HarnessWeb renewal process, or by emailing the assessment to licensing@hrnsw.com.au).

Trainers will be required to confirm or update (as applicable) their Property Identification Code (PIC) when renewing their licence.

All licensees will be required to provide an updated heads and shoulders only photograph (ie: taken on a smart phone or tablet and uploaded in HarnessWeb when renewing their licence.
