Last Friday, we held our Legacy Prayer Walk. The whole student body, staff, and many parents prayed together for love, mercy, and grace. Our middle school teachers and 10 students prayed from a small stage in the parking lot. Then, in a walk all the way around our city block, groups stopped at designated stations and prayed for our school, first responders, the Omaha community, our families, and our nation.   

The Legacy Prayer Walk fundraiser raised over $46,000 for the general budget, a much-needed blessing for our PreK-8 school. Thank you to everyone who supported OCA during this effort.  The best part of the last 3 weeks was a very meaningful prayer walk. Our students and staff are amazing in the way they pray. It’s a beautiful thing to see.

We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday, October 22 for Parent/Teacher Conferences!

Conferences will take place from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (available in 15-minute time slots).

This is a valuable opportunity to connect with teachers and discuss your child’s academic progress.

If you have not already registered for Parent/Teacher conferences, please see the attached for step-by-step instructions to do so. The date on these instructions is from last year, but everything else is correct.

The next meeting for the PTF Team is Tuesday, October 13th, at 6:30 pm in Berniece & Bill’s Book Nook (the OCA Library)! Meetings last an hour or less.

Sign Up Today!  We are currently signing up students for basketball and bowling (MS only) for this winter, so we can register teams and schedule practices.  If your child is interested, please select the appropriate link below to sign them up.  Information about practices and games is located at the top of each form.

Our Elementary, Pre-K, and Middle School Christmas concerts are scheduled!

Elementary will be on December 3rd @ 6:30 PM in the gym.

Pre-K will be on December 10th @ 2:15 PM in the cafeteria.

Middle School band and choir concert is also on December 10th @ 6:30 PM.

Do you regularly shop at Baker’s?  If so, there is an easy way to help support OCA with very little additional work for you!  Baker’s has a Community Awards program, which OCA is a part of.  All you have to do is link OCA to your Baker’s account, and your purchases will provide additional resources to OCA each year.  To find out how, click HERE and follow the steps they provide!

Our Student/Parent Handbook states: “To report your student’s absence, please call the school office. Parents are required to explain all absences in writing (email) within 3 days of the student’s absence.”
