Plan Your Arts Weekend: Wednesday thru Sunday

Houston's art scene continues to pulse with boundless creativity. Because there are SO MANY cultural events each week, I limit my e-newsletter only 13–15 featured art event listings each week. However, my online calendar has MANY MORE listings for you to check out, so visit my website often!

To promote your event for FREE on my online calendar, you need to submit it through my website at www.melissarichardsonbanks.com. All accepted events are added to my free online calendar, with select ones featured in my curated weekly e-newsletter. Of course, I do offer advertising, which supports my work (contact me for details!).

“Designing Motherhood” features over 60 craft and design objects and prototypes from the past 50 years and the work of more than 20 contemporary artists (nearly half are from Texas).

HCCC curator Sarah Darro significantly broadened the scope of this nationally touring exhibition for its Houston presentation. In addition to the four artists in the originating presentation—Jess Dugan (St. Louis), Maria Eife (Philadelphia), Ani Liu (Queens), Alison Croney Moses (Boston), Darro has added works by over 20 artists, more than half of whom are based in Texas.
