Please take a moment to read our press release and priority sheet in full, the Downtown Brockton Association (DBA) will not be assuming the responsibility of planning the Holiday Parade this year. Though the last few years have been extremely successful and brought thousands into the downtown area - they have not been without painstaking challenges that have left us unable to assume the responsibility . Our hope is to continue to support our community and its small businesses/property owners, and host small activities throughout the season. Though the DBA is stepping back from the holiday parade, we remain steadfast in our support of downtown and are refocusing our efforts on long term initiatives that will help sustain and grow the success of Downtown Brockton such as;
1. Supporting our members with advertising, business and technical support to stimulate and grow the Downtown economy, pursuing grant funding, and increasing access to opportunity.
2. Working to facilitate and promote adoption of the BID ( Business Improvement District)- as we truly believe this is the way forward for Downtown Brockton.
3. Committing to the Clean City Initiative- supporting the clean-up and beautification of Downtown Brockton.
4. Growing our network, and creating valuable membership opportunities for local partners.
