WORSHIP AT 10:00 AM
SANCTUARY
| | |
Tenth Sunday after Pentecost
Weather Forecasting
Luke 12:49-56
This Sunday in worship at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary, we continue reading from the Gospel of Luke (12:49-56). The ancient prophets had stern words for their day and age and, at times, Jesus' words were no less sharp. What do they all have to say to us today? Join us as together we worship and hear the words of Christ.
Childcare for little ones is available in the nursery. Children and youth (preschool through grade 12) will start in worship and then go out to the plaza with Lianna.

The Gift of Planning: Session 3 in Plymouth Hall
Write On! The Art of the Memoir | Sharing Your Spiritual Legacy
Sunday, 8/17 | Coffee & Breakfast Bites at 8:30 a.m. – Forum at 8:45
| Over the years First Cong members have written about their life experiences. The Memoir Writing Group has now expanded their repertoire to include other genres: essays, travelogues, journals, family history, and more. They have discovered that writing helps process experiences and learn a lot about themselves and one another. These essays also help tell our life stories to loved ones. Join us to learn one way to share your legacy as members of the Memoir Writing Group read their writings. | | | | August Worship Activities for Children and Youth | |
During worship on Sundays in August, we’ll have fun, faith-filled activities for children and youth. Everyone will begin in worship, and then kids preschool through grade 12 are invited to join Lianna. This Sunday, weather permitting, we’ll break out the sidewalk chalk and “paint” the plaza – wear outdoor clothes and sunscreen! Check each Friday’s email for weekly updates. Regular Sunday school resumes September 15.
Contact Lianna with any questions.
