Red Feather Newsletter

APRIL 2024

In the 1930s, the red feather was chosen as the national symbol for Community Chests, a forerunner of the modern United Way. It represents courage, compassion, and generosity, which continues to resonate with our community today.

I felt so alone and isolated after my husband’s suicide. It helped me tremendously to be around a group of people who had experienced the death of a loved one by suicide because they understood what I was feeling. I feel like I have now gained the tools to begin my healing process.
