Walking back into our beautiful building after being away on sabbatical for six weeks brought me so much joy on Monday morning. Being greeted by your beloved faces throughout the week was even better. I am grateful for the time away and I am so grateful to be back. Thank you to the Rev. Carmie McDonald for her leadership while I was away and every day. She managed worship leadership, building issues, pastoral care, and the hundreds of details we deal with each week with her usual grace and exceptional gifts. I feel fortunate to have such an amazing partner in ministry. Thank you, as well, to our wardens, Jordan and Jacob, our vestry, and our dedicated staff for their work of leading the parish, and to all of you who participate in the life of the church and make it a place to which we all look forward to returning.
During my time away I got to spend time with family and friends, travel with our children, tour some beautiful gardens in Cape Cod, spend lots of time outdoors, and read the stack of books that I've been piling up. I had time to listen for the quiet stirrings of the Spirit in my life and the life of this parish. I came back excited for all that lies ahead in the new program year. I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday.
Grace and peace,
Amy

Thank You for Supporting our Neighbors at DEAM
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stayed after worship on July 12 to participate in our parish-wide service project. Together, Epiphanites of all ages packed 200 lunch bags for DEAM (Decatur-area Emergency Assistance Ministry), providing ready-to-go meals for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
Your enthusiasm, generosity, and willingness to serve made this project a wonderful success. It was inspiring to see our parish community come together in fellowship and service, living out our call to love our neighbors in tangible ways.
Whether you packed bags, enjoyed fellowship, or helped behind the scenes, thank you for making a difference. Your participation is a reminder of the generosity and compassion that define our parish.
Thank you as well to members of our Community Engagement Committee for organizing the project and providing a delicious Expanded Coffee Hour that made the morning even more special.
If you have feedback about the project, or would like more information about DEAM or any of our Community Engagement Ministries, please email Rev. Carmie McDonald. She would love to hear from you!

Help with Making Sandwiches
The Decatur Area Emergency Assistance Ministry (DEAM) serves more than 150 families and 350 unhoused neighbors each month, providing food assistance, helping prevent utility shutoffs, and purchasing life-sustaining prescription medications for those in need throughout the Decatur area.
DEAM, which is housed at Holy Trinity Parish in Decatur, relies on volunteers from partner churches to support its meal ministry. This summer, while Holy Trinity's kitchen is being renovated, DEAM is seeking volunteers to prepare sandwiches off site and deliver them for distribution.
If you would like to help, please sign up at the link below or email the Rev. Carmie McDonald for more information. Your gift of time can make a meaningful difference in the life of a neighbor experiencing food insecurity.
