Webinar reminder: Next Generation 911

Local government staff and elected officials are invited to attend a webinar about the upcoming intake of the Next Generation 911 funding stream on October 28, 2026, from 1:30 – 3:00 pm.

The primary aim of the 2027 intake is to support the establishment of three-digit 911 dialing services in communities in BC where appropriate connectivity exists and where the community currently relies on ten-digit emergency numbers.

If there are remaining funds after applications for the primary aim have been considered, the program will also support local preparedness for the implementation of NG911. Pre-registration for the webinar is required.

Last chance for UBCM convention survey

Delegates are invited to share comments on their experience of UBCM’s 2026 Convention through a brief survey. All comments received will aid our evaluation of the event and help us identify areas for improvement. Delegates who complete the survey will also be entered in a draw to win an Apple watch.
