Prior to the start of the 2026–2027 school year, the DCS School Board approved an increase in elementary instructional fees to $30.

Due to a posting error, the 2026–2027 fee at Conger Elementary initially defaulted to $25, the amount charged in previous years.

To correct this error, and to align Conger’s fees with those of all other DCS elementary schools, an additional $5 has been added to your child’s fee balance. This amount may be paid at any time in person at the school office, sent with your child, or paid online through PaySchools.

If your family qualified for a fee waiver, this additional amount will also be waived. If you have not yet paid your 26-27 instructional school fees, your balance in PowerSchool will reflect the full $30 amount, and can be paid at any time, thank you.

We regret this error, and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. Thank you for your continued support and understanding. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Kincaid at 740-833-1303.

Fall Party and Parade

We are excited to celebrate on Friday, October 30th, with a Fall Character Parade and classroom parties! It is also important to note that this is our Picture Retake Day! If your child needs to have their photo taken, please plan accordingly.

Classroom teachers will share with you their plan for costumes. Some teachers may request that students bring costumes in their backpack to put on for the party and parade. Facepaint, masks and accessories (toys or weapons) are NOT permitted. Keep in mind that students who wear their costumes to school will be participating in recess throughout the day so plan accordingly.

Classroom parties will begin in the afternoon. Teachers will send information through Dojo about treats and volunteering. Snacks should be limited to store bought items. Please check with your child's teacher about food allergies.

At 2:45, students will parade around the building and then outside on the playground. Families who would like to watch the parade are welcome to line the blacktop area of the playground beginning at 2:30. In the event of rain, we will share alternate plans for the event.

Students will NOT be dismissed from the playground during the parade. We will follow normal dismissal routines. Families that wish to pick up must do so through regular pick up procedures unless they are a classroom volunteer for the party.

The Mobile Dentist will be visiting Conger Elementary on Friday, December 4, 2026. This lines up perfectly with summer visits to make sure kids get their every 6 month dental check-up as recommended by the American Dental Association.

Please return the completed permission slips to school by Friday, November 20th to make sure that your student can be seen.

Services that are provided include dental cleanings, screenings, and fluoride treatment. X-rays, sealants are completed for students that provide insurance/medicaid coverage. Recommendations for any advanced care that may be needed such as cavities and/or infections and/or potential orthodontics will be provided for all students that are seen. Papers will be sent home with your student letting you know what has been done during the service.

For online applications or questions about services, please go to https://mobiledentists.com/

GREEN BEAN COLLECTION

Once again, Conger Elementary will partner with Delaware County Agencies to Unite Against Hunger. We have been challenged to collect 500 cans of green beans by November 16th. The green beans will be a part of 650 Thanksgiving meals provided for local families in need.

We will be collecting November 2nd - 13th.

If Conger meets our goal of 500 cans, we will have a school-wide PAJAMA DAY!
