Who is confirmation for?
Those in 6th grade and older, who have not gone through confirmation.
What is confirmation?
Confirmation is an opportunity to respond to the grace of God available to us, as acknowledged in baptism, and to promise to live as a person of faith. “What God offers us must be accepted in repentance and faith,” the UMC states. “Confirmation and reaffirmation are our responses of commitment, profession of faith, and rededication.”
Why?
Confirmation is not a sacrament in The United Methodist Church, but it is an important step in our spiritual journey.
When is confirmation?
Sept 18th - Day Retreat at PUMC - 9am-3pm at PUMC
Sunday morning classes 8:20-9:30 (Occasionally, meet 9:30-10:30 - space depending)
