Scholarships
The Delaware County Foundation Scholarships
Each year the Foundation offers more than 40 scholarship programs for eligible students, awarding over $300,000 collectively with awards ranging from $1,000 to over $5,000. Some scholarships are exclusive to certain schools or counties, though others may be open to any student. Most deadlines are February 28, 2022.

The Columbus Foundation Scholarships
The Columbus Foundation offers more than 100 scholarships yearly to Central Ohio students and most deadlines are March 1, 2022! Scholarships with applications that are not part of the online application process may have their own deadlines. Check the Foundation's online scholarship search for more details.

Additional Scholarship Options
Your associate school may list additional scholarship opportunities available in your area. Also look for scholarships on university websites, fastweb.com, your local credit union or banks, churches, etc. DACC lists available scholarships on the DACC website and your student has exclusive access to DACC scholarship information in their google classroom.
Volunteer Opportunities in Your Community
At a recent leadership conference, DACC students learned about a new app called POINT. The app is free to download and allows users to locate volunteer activities in a given community, timeframe, or type of activity. Additional information is available at https://pointapp.org/.
State Funded ACT Testing
State law requires districts to administer the state-funded ACT to all juniors in the spring of the school year. Delaware Area Career Center will be testing all full-day juniors in two cohorts on March 1st and March 2nd free of charge. Student services will make students aware of their testing date.

The state administration of the ACT will include the primary subject areas in reading, English, mathematics, and science. The state testing of the ACT will not include the optional writing test. DACC will be providing test preparation sessions to all full-day juniors in January and February.
