Lent Lament- preparing for grace
“By the Fall of ’21, it became clear to me that I was “stuck.” I found myself in a dynamic in which I was unable to let go of my pain and sorrow.”... Read more from Pastor John in our Capable?! blog post.

Easter Sunday Conversation Starters
During our refreshment time from 9:00-10:00 we'll have the opportunity to interact with our new friends from Bethel Ethiopian Church. To assist and encourage interaction with one another, there will be "Conversation Cards" available on the tables. These cards will include suggested questions for us to discuss with one another.
Lent Giving Drive
This year's drive is supporting the Good in the 'Hood food shelf at Crosstown by adding cleaning items to the distribution. We have identified six items of need:

Toilet Cleaner | Laundry Detergent | Paper Towels
Dish Soap | Hand Sanitizer | All Purpose Spray

It helps with distribution to have "uniform" products. We will have samples of products displayed at church. Please purchase products that are similar in brand and size to those displayed at church. You can make a purchase off our Amazon Wish List or shop on your own. The food shelf serves 35-50 families, so this is our initial target collection amount. Questions? Contact the Community Caring Commission.
Financial gifts marked for "Lent Giving Drive" or "Food Shelf" will be used to purchase missing products, with any excess donated to Good in the 'Hood.
CORE Class Starting
Are you interested in knowing more about Crosstown and our heart to grow forward as Jesus' disciples? We invite you to take the next step by participating in our upcoming CORE class. This is a 4-week journey into the DNA of Crosstown and the larger Evangelical Covenant Church. We'll gather in person on four Sundays (April 10, 24, May 1, 8) @ 10:45 AM. Please contact Pastor John Jacobi, pastorjohn@crosstowncovenant.org.
Crosstown is now a Polling Location
In February Crosstown was approached by the Elections Office about the possibility of becoming a polling place. With the last census results and some redrawing of the precinct lines it became clear that a new location needed to be added. Kristi completed the assessment process with an Elections Official and Crosstown was proposed to the Elections Committee as a candidate location for review and approval. And we are happy to report that Crosstown passed through committee and has been approved. We will be the polling location for two elections this calendar year (August 9 and Nov 8). Just another way Crosstown can use the building to bless our neighbors!
Photos Needed
Crosstown doesn't have a photographer to capture events. Instead, everyone has the ability to capture life in the church with the phone in your hand. Please either email photos to office@crosstowncovenant.org or share them in Google Photos or Google Drive to us. We are especially hoping you will some pictures over Holy Week.
