Church Reopening News
As we continue through this uncharted territory of life during a pandemic, Rector Ledlie Laughlin shared news this week of decisions and next steps we are taking at St. Columba’s in regard to our reopening. Find Ledlie's complete message here .

Noting the growing eagerness and impatience that so many of us have to gather anew, Ledlie outlined a plan designed to balance these feelings with the duty we have as individuals and as a community of faith to do everything in our power to protect the health and safety of those around us. Visit our new Church Reopening webpage for the full details.

Included in this plan is a requirement that if you are to attend an onsite small group gathering, you must follow the St. Columba’s Safety Protocols (SCSP) and will ne ed to sign and return the diocesan Covenant for Regathering . Find this form and instructions here . You will only need to do this once, as it will be kept on file by the parish office.
An Invitation to House Churches
St. Columba's is launching a new worship opportunity, and we'd love for you to be involved! Very simply, the new initiative is to ask members of the parish to host small groups for prayer and fellowship in their backyard. We imagine that this may be no more complicated than a small group of people sitting outside at an appropriate distance reading a scripture passage, listening to a sermon, saying a few prayers, and sharing in the Eucharist. Visit our new House Churches webpage to learn how you may engage in this small group worship.

Homeless Initiative: $30K in 30 Days
Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you!
It is with great enthusiasm,
awe and deep gratitude that we make this announcement ... Just one week from launching our $30K in 30 Days, Helping 30 Families campaign for Housing Up families, we have reached our goal of $30,000!

We are not yet “out of the woods” with COVID-19. Our most vulnerable neighbors will continue to face food, utility and housing insecurities, but due to your generosity, we can extend the much needed assistance. We will continue to grow the St. Columba’s Security Fund beyond our original goal of $30,000, and allow families access to assistance past the summer months. Parents will not have to choose between getting groceries, paying the utility bill, or having a roof over their family’s head. The St. Columba’s Security Fund will answer their urgent needs.

If you have not yet made a contribution, please make your online contribution today! Click here and select the "Homeless Initiative" fund.

Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for your compassion.
Thank you for Living God’s Love!

Strengthening Community
Meet Amy's New/Old Friend ... St. Paul
This summer St. Paul (a Flat-Stanley-like character) is going on another journey, this time to visit families throughout the Church in Corona (St. Columba’s parish) and he’d like to stay with you! He will arrive at your home with a picture book about his New Testament letters and some ideas of how you might share your time in Corona with him.
He’ll provide inspiration and ideas for writing your own letter to the Church in Corona (advice, prayers, experiences of isolation). Kids who have hosted St. Paul will help lead a weekly meeting on Tuesdays, at 4:30 pm to share letters and pictures of their time with him. All are invited to join in.
