NAHCC’s HHM Celebration Continues Across Nashville

Explore What’s Happening Now and What’s Ahead Through October 15

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NAHCC), in partnership with the NAHCC Foundation, is wrapping up the third week of its 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, with a full calendar of business, cultural, artistic, and community events continuing through October 15.

The month began on September 15, when Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell proclaimed September 15 through October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month, joining NAHCC and the NAHCC Foundation in recognizing the lasting business, civic, professional, artistic, and cultural contributions of Nashville’s Hispanic community.

Nashville International Airport® also marked the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month by sharing NAHCC’s calendar and announcing cultural activities in the terminal, including live music by local artists.

Since then, NAHCC has represented Nashville and Tennessee at the 47th Annual United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Conference in Fort Worth and participated in local conversations focused on leadership, culture, business, and community.

A recent cultural highlight came at Vanderbilt University, where award-winning Mexican jazz vocalist Lucía made her Nashville debut at the Blair School of Music. NAHCC and NAHCC Foundation members joined the celebration and recognized Lucía with the NAHCC Ganas in Music Award before her performance.

Tomorrow, Sunday, October 4, the celebration continues at ACME Feed & Seed with NAHCC’s Hispanic Heritage Month Music Business Networking Mixer and Happy Hour, bringing together music industry professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs, members, and community partners for an afternoon of networking and celebration.

As we enter the final stretch of Hispanic Heritage Month, there is still much more ahead across Nashville—from business and entrepreneurship to arts, culture, music, and community engagement—culminating with NAHCC’s 22nd Annual Excellence in Business & Community Awards on October 15.

Join us as Hispanic Heritage Month continues through October 15.

“Hispanic Heritage Month is about more than celebrating our culture. It is also an opportunity to recognize the entrepreneurs, professionals, artists, workers and civic leaders who strengthen Nashville every day,” said NAHCC President and CEO Yuri Cunza. “Through this calendar, we bring people together to learn, build relationships and celebrate the contributions that continue moving our city forward.”

Since 2005, NAHCC has led one of Tennessee’s longest-running and most comprehensive Hispanic Heritage Month observances. Made possible by NAHCC members and corporate and community partners, this year’s calendar brings together business development, entrepreneurship, workforce education, civic leadership, music, film, arts, culture and community recognition.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 through October 15. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the nation’s Hispanic population reached 70.1 million in 2025—approximately 21% of the U.S. population. Learn more from the U.S. Census Bureau.

Celebrating the Many Stories Within Hispanic Heritage

This Hispanic Heritage Month, the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation (NAHCC Foundation) is bringing its Bridging Narratives program into classrooms and educational spaces across Nashville to explore the diversity that exists within Hispanic and Latino communities.

Through artists, culture bearers, musicians, and educators, students are encountering distinct histories and lived experiences—from Indigenous and Mexican traditions, to Afro-Puerto Rican and Afro-Latino heritage, to Mexican-American and Tejano musical roots.

The message connecting these experiences is simple: there is no single Hispanic or Latino story.

Tuesday, September 11, 18, 25 / October 2 - 3:30pm - 5:15pm
